As a consultant to nonprofits and professional presenter, I have always been passionate about helping others, especially through women and girl initiatives, while supporting missions through fundraising, grant development, strategic planning, and education. In addition to being a consultant, I am Assistant Professor at Future Generations University and Owner at Brick City Books.
Over the past 20 years, I have been fortunate to represent American women and girls on the international stage at summits held in the Philippines, Jordan, England, and at the United Nations. I’ve taught and trained thousands in how to be leaders and serve their communities while also raising over $32million in funds for several organizations, serving as a federal grant reviewer, and co-founding a social enterprise.
My own leadership and service efforts lead to a full scholarship for my undergraduate education and an assistantship to attend graduate school. I hold a Ph.D. in nonprofit organizational leadership from Eastern University. I remain dedicated to continuing education as a Certified Association Executive, Certified Fund Raising Executive, Grant Professional Certified, and a Certified Volunteer Administrator.

Thanks to these experiences, I love to encourage professionals, especially women, to take advantage of opportunities, grow in their career, and give back to their communities. I am the former Executive Director of the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance (AFWA) and The Foundation of AFWA, serving 2,000 members across the country. Prior to AFWA, I served as a fundraising, grant and nonprofit management consultant for clients around the country, the Assistant Director of Development at the Council of State Governments, Assistant Executive Director at the Chrysalis House, and Graduate Adjunct Faculty for North Park University.
When not working with wonderful nonprofit leaders, I am spending time with my husband, Greg, and stepdaughter Sydney or visiting friends and family back in Lexington, KY. Together, we own and operate Brick City Books. Sydney is a budding artist and expert storyteller. We live in Huber Heights (north Dayton) with our pug Rocky that made the move with me.
